The church Bistro is housed in the original church building from the early 1900s, and relocated from its original home, Taumarunui. The exposed kauri beams, classical joinery and original floor add to its charm and character.

You can expect to see simple Kiwi style, European inspired food, plus season and regular specials.


Cauliflower Velouté

Pickled beetroot, crumbed artichoke, black garlic.

Porcini Risotto

Duck Confit

Red wine poached fruit, leek custard tart.

Mushroom Garden

Wild pan fried, mushroom soil, soy glazed, garden sponge.


Twice Baked Forest Trifle

Chocolate sponge, berry compote, vanilla anglaise, chocolate cream.

Twice Baked Guava Souffle

This warm soufflé married with guava pureé and cream is truly heaven.

Deconstructed Tarte Tatin

Sticky Caramel, sweet apples, crisp pastry, vanilla bean ice cream, liqueur cream.
